Desmond & Dempsey commissioned a custom rug for their London flagship to replicate a specific silk pyjama print. Although the level of detail typically requires a hand-knotted construction, we proposed our HT5 thin-pile New Zealand wool. This hand-tufted solution allowed us to meet the budget requirements while successfully preserving the design's high-level intricacy.
Our in-house design team scaled the artwork to the required 177 x 357cm. We dispatched yarn poms to facilitate the selection of the twelve-colour palette, followed by a scaled design graph for final approval. After sign-off, production commenced to meet the project's strict store-opening deadline.
